More Range Than Any Tesla

BMW has unveiled the refreshed 2026 iX, marking a significant evolution in its electric SUV lineup with enhanced range, performance, and technology. The standout improvement is seen in the iX xDrive60, which now boasts an EPA-estimated range of 364 miles when paired with 20-inch Aero wheels and summer tires. This marks a 7% boost over earlier estimates, positioning it among the longest-range electric vehicles in its segment. With more range than any Tesla on the market, the 2026 iX plans to be the leading example in the luxury electric landscape. 

New Upgrades For The New Year

 The new entry-level xDrive45 model starts at $75,150 and offers 402 horsepower with an estimated range of up to 312 miles. While the top-of-the-line M70 xDrive boasts 650 horsepower and a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.6 seconds, with a range of around 302 miles. These improvements are attributed to BMW’s adoption of silicon carbide semiconductor components in the inverters and the implementation of fifth-generation eDrive technology, enhancing efficiency by up to 10% compared to previous models. The 2026 iX also features subtle exterior design updates, including a revised grille and new lighting elements, along with interior enhancements like BMW’s latest Curved Display OS system and optional M Multi-Function seats.

Lower Priced Entry-Point

These comprehensive updates position the 2026 iX as a formidable contender in the luxury electric SUV market, offering a harmonious balance of performance, efficiency, and cutting-edge features. The xDrive60 has a starting price of $88,500, while the high-performance iX M70 is priced from $111,500. These figures do not include the $1,175 destination fee. Production is set to begin in March at BMW’s Dingolfing plant in Germany, with deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2025.
