Meet General Sales Manager Leo Albert

Like a star pitcher making his way through the big leagues, Leo Albert has been an in-demand and integral team member throughout his career with BMW. An Albany, NY native and SUNY Albany grad, Leo naturally gravitated to BMW of South Albany where he began as a client advisor.

“It was an awesome experience right from the beginning,” he tells us. “I liked meeting people from all walks of life, hearing their stories, what they do for work and fun, and the plans they had for their BMWs.”

He kept at it, advancing from four years as a client advisor to another four as Pre-Owned Manager before being recruited along with his General Manager to Paul Miller BMW in New Jersey to spend the next several years as New Car Sales Manager. His last stop before joining Mauro Motors was at Berkshire BMW in Pittsfield, MA where he put his whole experience together, new and pre-owned, and became General Manager. It’s also where he met current BMW of Bridgeport General Manager, Tim Parker. The two would later recognize a good thing when they saw it at BMW of Bridgeport.

“Fairfield County was a great opportunity to work in a bigger market,” he tells us. “I found it’s also a great team environment at Mauro Motors with great potential to grow from what we already have. He notes BMW of Bridgeport is already near the top of the state in pre-owned and new cars sales, but that the newly opened and fully renovated building has allowed everyone to hit the ground running as the year moves along.

When he’s not in Bridgeport, Leo is really not in Bridgeport, visiting family not only in New York, but as far away as Sweden, Germany, Hungaria, and Lebanon. He reports loving the old city section of Stockholm, and the social nature of city life in Germany, but especially the autobahn, where he got to drive an M4.

“I want it to be a very relaxed, transparent, and easy process,” for new and pre-owned vehicle clients in Bridgeport, he says. “I love the BMW brand, and I try to interact and be as available I can be to make everyone’s experience a positive one.”
