A Hometown Girl Behind the Wheel
Westport native Lisa Crawford talks about life along our roads and byways.

BMW of Bridgeport special advertising section Lisa Crawford, a top client advisor at BMW'€™s Bridgeport dealership, knows the details about her hometown, having driven its roads all her life. We asked about her favorite cruises, stops - €”and driving machine, of course.
How long have you been in Westport?
Except for a few years as a young adult, I'€™ve lived here my whole life. It'€™s a great town.
Where are you traveling in town these days?
I'€™ve got a teenage son - €”he'€™s a sophomore at Staples, as well as a golfer and skateboarder, so I frequently find myself going back and forth between the skate park at Compo and the Longshore Country Club. I love that part of town, although my son will soon be driving himself. He'€™s learning right now. I also love downtown; it'€™s got all the shopping I need.
What'€™s your own favorite stop in Westport?
I like to spend my quiet time at Compo, especially between the hours of 4 and 6. I also love to hop on my parent's€™ boat, which is docked there. It€™'s a great feature of this town that so much is close by and convenient.Westport Pizzeria Since you’ve known this place for a long time,
What's a piece of old Westport that a newcomer would love?
Don'€™t get me started on childhood Westport memories... I could write a long story, all very good. It'€™s fun to see old familiar faces when I stop in for a slice at the Westport Pizzeria. Mel & Joe haven'€™t changed a bit, just like their pizza, which I would say is still my hometown favorite.
Since your business is cars, tell us about your own ride.
I'€™ve had six BMWs, and just turned in a 5-series. Since these 5-series have been redesigned they'™re a bit larger, and since I have one young driver and one about-to-be driver, the new car didn'€™t have to be a family sedan. So the new one is a 328xi—the luxury model of that series, and just the right size for me.
Color? Black sapphire metallic - gorgeous.
Any special little details that make you happy?
There'€™s a new secret compartment in the dash where I can put my sunglasses. I love it!
How about music for the road?
I love rock and roll, mostly from the 70s. If my daughter'€™s in the car you might hear some R&B, rap or country. But we like our music loud, so of course I got BMW’s upgraded sound system.
How'€™s the commute? I love the reverse commute to Bridgeport, we'€™re right off Route 8. It'€™s 12 minutes, door to door from Westport, even at rush hour. Our convenience and service have given me a great customer base, and it keeps on growing. (BMW of Bridgeport is closer than you think)
